Debut websites terms and conditions.
These terms form the agreement between C i Marketing Limited (we, us, our) and the client (you, your) for the Debut website service. By completing payment you confirm you have read and agree to these terms. These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
Terms & Conditions
The service:
Debut is a done-for-you starter website service.
The service includes design and build of a website to an agreed specification, domain registration for year one (if needed), hosting, SEO and answer engine optimisation setup, schema markup, a content editor, stock photography sourcing where required, one round of revisions, one mid-year content update per year, domain renewal from year two onward, and an annual performance check-in.
Payment:
A one-off setup fee is charged at the time of purchase and is non-refundable once your brief has been received and work has commenced
A monthly plan begins on your go-live date and covers hosting, SSL certificate, your content editor, your mid-year update, and your 12-month check-in
Additional pages beyond your base plan are charged at the add-on rate applicable at the time of purchase
All Debut prices are quoted inclusive of GST unless stated otherwise
We reserve the right to adjust pricing with 30 days notice. Price changes do not affect your existing monthly plan rate until renewal
The 12-month plan commitment:
Your Debut service begins with a 12-month commitment from your go-live date. After the initial 12 months the monthly plan continues on a rolling month-to-month basis until cancelled with 30 days written notice. There is no requirement to sign a new annual commitment after the first year.
Each year we will contact you for an annual performance check-in to review how your site is performing, discuss what has changed in your business, and decide whether you want to continue on the current plan, expand your site, or move to a different C i Marketing service. There is no obligation to change anything.
Your brief and content:
You are responsible for providing all written content, photos, brand assets, and other materials required to build your website
We will shape, structure, and proofread your content but we are not responsible for factual accuracy, completeness, or legality of content you supply
If you do not provide photos we will source matching stock photography on your behalf at no additional cost
Stock photography is licensed for use on your website only and may not be used for other purposes without a separate licence
Your website build begins when we receive your completed brief. The five working day build timeframe runs from the date we receive a complete brief, not from the date of payment
Logo and branding:
Logo design is not included in the Debut service. If you do not have a logo, we will create a clean typographic version of your business name using your chosen font.
This typographic treatment is created for use on your website only. The font file, source file, or any editable version of the typographic treatment is not provided as a deliverable and remains the property of C i Marketing. This is not a substitute for professional logo design.
Full logo and brand identity development is available as a separate C i Marketing service.

One round of revisions is included in your setup fee. A round of revisions means one consolidated list of changes submitted after you review your preview site
Additional revision rounds are available at our standard hourly rate
Your preview site will be ready within five working days of receiving your complete brief
If you do not respond to your preview within 14 days, we reserve the right to proceed with go-live or place your project on hold
One mid-year content update is included in your 12-month plan
The update covers text and image changes to existing pages only. It does not include new pages, structural changes, new sections, or new functionality
The mid-year update is available only after six months on the monthly plan
The clock starts when you send us your updated content. We will deliver your updated site within 10 working days of receiving your content
Your chosen domain is registered in your name as part of your setup fee for year one
From year two onward, domain renewal is included in your monthly plan. We manage renewal on your behalf so your domain never lapses
If you already have a domain, we will connect it to your Debut website. We will provide step-by-step instructions specific to your registrar. You are responsible for making the required DNS changes and for managing your own domain renewal. Domain renewal is not included in your monthly plan if you provide your own domain
On cancellation your domain remains yours. If we registered your domain, we will provide your registrar login details and stop managing renewal and payments from the date your plan ends. If you provided your own domain, no action is required on our part
Your website is hosted on a fast, secure global network. Hosting, SSL certificate, and global content delivery are included in your monthly plan
Video content must be hosted on YouTube or Vimeo and embedded on your site. Self-hosted video is not supported
Your content editor login allows text and image updates to existing content only. New pages and structural changes must be requested as a paid update
If a monthly plan payment fails, we will send two reminder emails over eight days
If payment is not received within eight days of the due date, your website will be suspended and will not be visible to the public
To reinstate a suspended website, all outstanding amounts must be paid in full along with a reinstatement fee of $97 incl. GST
If a website remains suspended for 60 days without payment or contact, we reserve the right to terminate the service. Your domain remains yours regardless
You may cancel your monthly plan at any time with 30 days written notice to connect@cimarketing.co.nz
The setup fee is non-refundable. Monthly plan fees already paid are non-refundable
On cancellation we will provide your domain registrar login details and assist with pointing your domain to a new host
C i Marketing reserves the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse or terminate the Debut service at any time if the website content is found to be illegal, obscene, pornographic, defamatory, or otherwise in breach of New Zealand law or our standards of practice.
In such cases the setup fee will not be refunded and the monthly plan will be cancelled immediately without notice.
On receipt of full payment, you own the written content on your website. C i Marketing retains the right to display your website in our portfolio and marketing materials unless you request otherwise in writing.
Custom code, design systems, and build frameworks developed by C i Marketing remain our intellectual property. Your website is licensed to you for use, not sold.
Our liability to you is limited to the total fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding any claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic loss arising from the use or unavailability of your website, or for changes to third-party platforms used to deliver the service.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes with at least 30 days notice. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand and shall be construed in all respects as a New Zealand contract.
